Please see below details of our free forthcoming face to face free clinical joint injection workshops for January - March 2024 to which you and your colleagues are welcome to attend as part of our ongoing education series.
The format of each evening will include a brief lecture/overview of indications for injecting the knee, shoulder or elbow joint followed by practical techniques using electronic injection models, giving attendees the opportunity to practice their injection technique if they wish under the guidance of our Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons.
The workshops are suitable for GPs, Physiotherapists and healthcare professionals who currently have no knee or shoulder joint or any joint injections experience and are looking to perform in their practice, as well as being suitable for those who currently inject and are seeking to refresh their injection technique.**
Learning objectives from each session will include:
1- Indications for injecting,
2- Injection sites,
3- Sites for injections,
4- Tips and Tricks,
5- Aftercare,
6- Complications
Timings for all of the below sessions are:
• 6.30pm- 7pm- Optional buffet and registration
• 7pm- 8.30pm- Theoretical overview and practical injection experience

Venue: Sutton Medical Consulting Centre, 233 Tamworth Road, Sutton Coldfield, B75 6DX
The workshops will offer one and a half hours of learning time with confirmation issued on attendance. Copies of the powerpoint slides will also be available after the session on request.
**Please note that our sessions are free and an introduction to injections if you don’t already perform them in your practice. You would need to check with your mentor/practice facilitator for additional training and to confirm their procedures for them to supervise you performing them before they can sign you off as being competent.
